Don't throw away those beautiful Christmas cards after the season is over! You can reuse them. (Not quite the same as re-gifting, which Emily Post says is now ok, by the way ;). I saved a few of my favorite cards from last year and used some of the designs to make gift tags for Christmas gifts this year.
You can always use a tag-shaped punch to cut out the design, but I just used a pair of scissors.
Select cards that have elements or designs that would be easy to cut out.
Cut out your design and use a hole punch to create a hole for a piece of ribbon to attach the tag to your present.
Oh look! I found some jute (which I buy in bulk).
Just kidding! I don't buy this stuff in bulk, but you actually believed me for a second, didn't you?
Voila! Now you have some cute tags for your presents and they will cost you about nothin'.

Super cute idea! I'll definitely be re-purposing my Holiday cards. Thanks for sharing.
